Tips for a Beautiful Rolled Finish

  • Fully load your roller with paint, then roll off the excess in your paint tray.

  • Apply the paint in smooth, even passes.

  • Avoid pressing too hard — let the roller do the work.

  • Follow the direction of the wood grain whenever possible.

  • Finish with light, gentle passes to even out the paint.

  • Work within the paint's open time and avoid repeatedly rolling over areas that have already begun to dry.

  • For an ultra-refined finish, lightly smooth the final coat with a Staalmeester Spalter brush if desired.

The right roller makes painting faster, easier and beautifully smooth — choose the size that best suits your project.
